Home : Education Center : Post-Bankruptcy Education Post Bankruptcy Education Now that you have filed bankruptcy before your debts can be discharged(released from obligation) you must complete a mandatory post bankruptcy debtor education course. This course addresses financial literacy issues that are designed to help bankruptcy filers avoid the recurrence of future financial hardships. American Debt Resources, Inc. has selected Money in Motion as its debtor education course. This web-based education course meets all the requirements for post-filing bankruptcy education as required by the U.S. Trustees office. You can complete the course in the privacy of your own home at a pace that is comfortable to you. The course requires a minimum of two hours, but you do not have to complete it all at once.You will be given a certificate verifying completion of the course when you are finished. You will be responsible to furnish the certificate with the Bankruptcy Court in order to have your debts discharged. The cost for the course and certificate is $50 per filer. If filing jointly each individual will have to complete the coursework. Fees may be waived in certain hardship cases ask a certified counselor if you qualify for a hardship exemption.
Before you can start the course you will need to review, complete, and return some information. New client disclosures(you must download and return the necessary documents before taking the course)
